Engineers Without Borders demonstrate great concern to people psychosocial wellbeing, Yemen is experiencing the worst crisis in the modern era, that has impacted negatively in people psychosocial health, deterioration of economic situations, current conflict, lack of job opportunities, stress and exacerbate peoples live and exposed Yemeni community to wide range of mental disorders. The increase need for psychosocial support is tremendous in Yemen, this field is major player in people’s health and wellbeing. The humanitarian engineering cares most about human psychosocial being, which is considered emergency, and need urgent intervention, due to implications of psychosocial wellbeing in human life, and community health, and development in general. The mandate of EWB is to invest and improve in field of humanitarian engineering, which psychosocial support is one of the standing pillars in provision of humanitarian-based engineering intervention that preserve human dignity and prosperity. EWB Yemen support the integration of psychological in humanitarian response and development projects, to have healthy community and stop community human resources waste. These psychological programming shall to be incorporated into public health system as core components, expand into community-based intervention, introduced to education system & programs, media outlets and respond to infrastructure needs of psychosocial support programming to contribute in the positive change and sustainable development which is entitled in SDG goals - prevention and treatment and promotion of mental health and wellbeing.
