EWB Yemen seeks to build the capabilities of local communities and enhance their ability to work together effectively in accordance with the principles of participation, accountability and peaceful change.

IMPACT

Humanitarian efforts are always needed. After any crises, they may be more at the forefront of our minds. What work is being done and to what effect? What do we still need to do? Humanitarian engineering, as defined by the Engineers Without Borders Yemen, utilizes the “skill and capabilities of engineering theory and practice toward aiding the greater good of humanity.” Engineers Without Borders Yemen focus on developing solutions to issues and challenges to community development during early recovery and reconstruction phase. Many NGOs are working in humanitarian response however the engineering world has its Pioneers — Engineers Without Borders — where we promote humanitarian engineering to make difference and greater impact.
