We believe in the power of engineering to make a change.
OUR VISION:
Enhance local community entrepreneurship and capacity for sustainable development.
Our Mission:
We adopt the concept of humanitarian engineering, creating practical solutions that improve the well-being of the most vulnerable communities, enabling them to exploitation their internal resources to achieve sustainable development.
CONCEPT:
We adopt the humanitarian engineering concept typically to address a community’s basic needs. Examples are projects that create access to clean water, safe shelter, and ensure adequate capacity building to communities; and develop reliable pathways to labor markets.
FOCUS:
We focus on Humanitarian engineering to improve the well-being of vulnerable people and disadvantaged communities, usually in the developing world. EWB Yemen typically focuses on programs that are affordable, sustainable, and based on local resources. Projects are typically community-driven and cross-disciplinary, and they focus on finding simple solutions to basic needs (such as close access to clean water; adequate heat, shelter, and sanitation; and reliable pathways to markets).
